Default Charles Tyrwhitt stores

I'm thinking about a trip down to look at a suit from one of these, but don't want it to be a wasted trip.

Can anyone down there tell me if their stores keep stock in or whether you just have to be measured up? Their stores nearer to me are 'seconds' stores and there is no guarentee you'll get what you're after.

I've been to their store at Bicester Outlet Village. Most of the stuff there was odd sizes left over rather than seconds so it depends on your shape! They also had the unpopular colours that only Stevie Wonder would wear.

Their shirts fit me and seem to last well but I've no idea about their suits.

Cheers Trev,

I've been to the Bicester one, but like you say - not really sure what you're going to get so was planning a trip down to the smoke.

Compare them with T M Lewin, that's what us Fancy Dans in The City wear.

I think the Jermyn Street one is their main store, as a work colleague got a suit from there, but I've never been in so wouldn't really know.

Cheers Mark.

I also have some Lewin shirts as they have a concession in the House of Fraser store we got with our new shopping centre a few years ago. I find them rubbish compared to my Charles Twit ones - the collar and cuffs do not iron well and the material is degrading badly. All four of the ones I bought are doing this and I doubt I'd buy them again.

Perhaps the ones they sell in the Smoke are better than the ones us provincial types get?
