Default Can Pointy sidelights be turned off with a switch?

Is there a way to turn sidelights off so just the main beam is showing, i have blue LED's and i want to turn them off when im on the road by making a switch?

I do believe that if headlights are on sidelights/position lights also have to be on.

Someone I'm sure will be along to confirm

Of course you can fit a switch by breaking the feed to them and putting it inline, I don't know the legality of it (I think sidelights are required to be on with any lighting, but you'd have to check, although having blue ones makes them illegal anyway).

Cheers Mark.

The lights are powered by the brown wire from the ignition switch, this also powers the indicators and the rear light/number plate light, so the switch needs to be after the junctions that go to the relay and rear lighting which is inside the loom. Probably easiest to take the wire that goes into the fairing to the lights themselves and switch that.

Or... don't fit chavvy blue lights to your bike.

Why not do this in the first place rather than taking about a switch?
