Bad Roads Watch - SV650.org

I think this may be a good one this year if the two bits I've used are anything to go by!
Its simply post any popular biking roads within the PM area (Inc the Scottish boarders) that are pretty much knackered.

I'll start this one off:

Kirkstone Pass (A592) from Windermere to the Penrith turn off.
The road up to the main stretch of the pass and from Ullswater, its pretty badly hammered in places and makes it interesting to say the least.
Sections are being relaid and aren't plainnings

the A1 south bound then Richmond to Catterick...... I hate that stretch of road as I have to travel it every morning to work :0(

A672 from just under the M62 bridge, through Denshaw and into Oldham.
This road has to have the biggest patchwork quilt going, every good line has a BIG potholes, tramlines and anything thats BAD!!!!

Why should this determine someone selling their bike?

Its really that BAD

A683 Sedbergh to Kirkby Lonsdale, the surface is cracking up and is very scabby in places, Gravel on a few corners too :0(

A591 Keswick to Kendal (I know not the best road in the Lakes)
The surface is rough and sections between Keswick and Ambleside are starting to break up

This a CRAP repair post!

A686 Hayden Bridge/ Hexham to Penrith
From the first hairpin from Alston to the County boarder has been road planed or in this case converted to a gravel track

All of the roads around the Kirklees area of west yorkshire. The lot of them are phucked. Absolutely fuct.
