Default Brake Caliper cleaning Question

My rear brake caliper could do with a clean and i am not very technically minded.

As brakes are an essential safety part of the bike i dont want to mess it up.

How easy is it for a complete non mechanically minded person to strip and clean the rear caliper?

Need this sorting before the GM and dont want to have to put it into a "shop" and pay stupid prices.

Thank you.

Get a Haynes manual and it's not a hard job. Stripped mine last year and rebuilt in about 2 hours.

Tbh the hanyes told me nothing. Searching the net, these forums and a bit of houseproudness paid off. The best thing the haynes did was made me aware that the dust seals had to be a certain way round but the official engineers manual did the same.

I have a Haynes manual but it makes no sense to me I'm afraid. Told you I am a complete biff when it comes to technical / mechanical stuff.

Lance I can arrange to drop the bike off at yours if you want?
