VTR 1000 F for sale

I am selling my blue VTR1000. I bought the bike new in 2000, it is on a V plate. Bike has done 10250 miles and is in immaculate condition. MOTd until March 2013 and has 5 months tax on her. I have changed the oil every couple of thousand miles (I used to work for an oil company and have been a bit anarachy about this!) or after a winter in the garage. Filter changed every other oil change. Valve clearances were checked at 8000 miles and were well within limits. All the bike has needed is tyres and a new battery which I bought 2009. Current tyres are about 100 miles old. The bike is fitted with Blueflame pipes (sound great but pass the MOT no problem), a Powerbronze screen, rear hugger, fender extender, rear seat cowl, soft grips and mirror extensions so you can see past your shoulders. Included in the sale are the original pipes, original screen, a Renntec carrier and the Haynes manual. The bike has been brilliant and I will be sorry to see her go but I need to get something a bit more comfortable for two up touring as the wife and I are getting old!. Looking for £2195 ono. Nice bike and very low mileage. Had this popped up about a month ago, I would have been coming up to look at it, but I now have the SV.

My last bike was a Firestorm, exact same model, but on a W plate. Only slight grip was the tank range, but Loved pretty much everything else about it. Especially when I put a set of Scorpion race cans on her

She does sound nice, like a proper V twin! Tank range can be a bind,most I have got out of a tankful is about 115 which is ok, worst is about 85 which is rubbish!! To be honest though you tend to get used to looking for a garage as soon as the fuel warning light comes on.

Same here,, best was around 110 miles. Normal was about 90 miles. I would just reset the trip at every fill up, so wasn't a problem really. Hope it sells, as it's a cracking example.
