Hi all
Been casually looking to upgrade the rear suspension for a while now but I've got the oppurtunity to get a ZX10R shock pretty cheap, from an 05 reg with 15k on the clock. Are used ones fine to buy or is it best to get brand new? Would this be suitable for my weight? I'm just under 12 stone. I presume different year shocks have different ratings etc. Also, would it be a direct swap, or would there be modifications to be made? Cheers! Dan |

The res gets in the way of the battery box but it's an easy fix. Be sure to get the bottom bolt with the shock or buy one from a kwack parts place. 15k is nowt for a shock thats been kept clean and rust free as long as the rider isn't 25 stone and enjoys riding up kerbs.
If your doing the bum don't forget the breasts. The front will feel even worse if you upgrade the back alone
