One for the camera buffs.
It looks like the SLR unviable (read I'd kill it) for the bike. So I'm looking at a good digital camera. Budget top end is £170ish Any suggestions Andy

I looked at these at sony hx9v, tz20, nikon 9100, canon sx230 a few months back
http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Ni.../verdict.shtml There are plenty of reviews of the cameras online on each model. I went for the sony due to the hd recording, super zoom, gps and general overall picture quality. If I just wanted to take pictures I guess it would've been been a canon. I'm not a pro and more gadget geek hence the choice but still impressed with the point and click functionality and vast array of presets and immense zoom and detail. These are 2011 models so the price has come down a lot as new 2012 models are out.

I got a samsung es17 12mp and its small enough to fit in your pocket and takes 'real' batteries so you dont end up with no power and it takes canny pictures for a point and click.

Mr Specialone Sir, try taking a picture of a sunset with a Nikon and then the same shot with a Canon and tell me you still prefer the Nikon. Nikon can't do real colours of a sunset.
I have some here on my computer to save you the trouble... The Nikon... ![]() The Canon... ![]() The Nikon... ![]() The Canon... ![]() The sky was exactly the colour pink the Canon shows it to be. I owned the Nikon. So I threw it into the sea and went to buy a Canon the next day! PS, I've reduced the size and quality of the photos to fit them on here. They are pixelated here due to the esixing aspect ratio required to get them to similar sizes. C Last edited by Berlin; 22-06-12 at 02:35 AM. |

Cheers for all the suggestions, but I'm going to have to stick with my old camera for a bit longer (funds are a bit tight
