Default First purchases for your bike?

I've just ordered a CBR600F, picking up Saturday. I was just wondering what are the sort of purchases people make for their bike immediately and what can wait.

I've just gone on the R&G site and order

Cotton reels (including rear spindle!) so I can use my paddock stand
R&G Crash Bungs, to save the expensive paintwork
Bar end protectors - same as above.

I need to get a hugger as there isn't one supplied standard and I don't want a gunked up rear shock. I've already gone for the akrapovic slip on(only because of the special deal being £99 instead of £580!)

Apart from the can, I think the changes are 'sensible'. Would you have held off or gone for more cosmetic changes - undertray, tail tidy, seat cowel, small plate, smoked screen etc. or performance - shock/fork upgrade, braided brake lines, PCIII etc.

These were ordered at the same time as the bike. Followed by a full set of crash-bobbins and a can-hanger from Evotech which allowed me to bin the pillion pegs.

Can't go wrong with Termis!

True. And with the baffles out, they're LOUD.
Ducati Performance do loads of carbon stuff but, IMO, it's a waste of dosh. I know it looks cool but I'd rather spend it on petrol.
Having said that, the Termis, the D-P ECU, and the a/f upgrade came to about £1170

Any photo's of Honda?

My first purchase for my next bike would be Stomp Grips.

I bought mines private and it came with all the bits I wanted minus a hugger - full akra system, power commander, crash bobbins, black screen. Since then the only thing I have added is a set of black levers with red adjusters. But as Bib said, scottoiler is a good idea. I have one sitting in my parents garage which I need to fit but I am pretty lazy!... Oh and tyres, you may not like the ones it comes with

pazzo levers, dark double bubble, scottoiler, tank pad. It's all going on the wish list. Not stomp grips..... until its first track day!

suspension is supposed to be pretty good anyway but will take it to MCT once got some miles under my belt. Fuelling is good.
