recently I changed the chain & sprockets on the pegaso for the first time and suffered "gorilla syndrome", as in some hairy ar*ed gorilla had done up the front sprocket bolt, after a 250flb electric torque gun didn't shift it I took some heat and a club hammer & drift to it, anyway the end result was a nut a bit mullered up, so I needed to get a new one, I went down to Mr Aprilia the other day and was quoted nearly £15 with the vat, now this seemed a little steep to me, as the engine is actually a retuned Yamaha XT660 lump I've just ordered one online from a yamaha dealer, total costincluding delivery.... £5.47
Result. Cheers Mark.

I've just suffered that with a GXS750f but on the rear, couldn't get the wheel et al back in after new tyres and it wouldn't fir, in the end a big bag of swear words and the incorrect use of a breaker bar got it in place.

Bought a DID ZXVM chain, a tl1000s front sprocket, and a steel rear sprocket, which is supposed to fit the Raptor. Now I shopped around and got the lot for 132quid. Same price for the equivalent kit for the Zzr (dealer price £195). Pays to shop around.
However......the only rear sprocket to correctly fit the raptor is a renthal hard anodized, and I have the steel.one, its catologued everywhere as a Busa for one, but, its 1mm too small on the bloody hole. In the shop we compared a few of the same sprocket and I took the one with the marginally largest hole......fingers crossed! If not....... I'm looking to have the carrier skimmed on a laithe, so it will fit! Making the issue irradicated, and never a problem again

Sump plug to order for a Seat Ibiza via Halfords or Wilco (who both order from a local parts distributor who are trade only) = £13
Walk into a VW dealership and ask for one for a VW Polo = £2 |
