Grand Prix

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Prix_(1966_film)

Plot isnt very good, but the in car / racing scenes are brilliant IMHO.

Le Mans

Got Steve McQueen in it, need I say more...

If you can download from Youtube, have a look at Fear Is The Key, the full 13 minute car chase. It's a film from 1972 and the car chase is one of the best ever.

Apart from Bullit, there's Le Mans with Steve McQueen. There's an achingly beautful 911 in the opening sequence and www.autofarm.co.uk have a black 1972 one for sale @ £85k at the moment.

Grand Prix with James Garner
Weekend Of A Champion, a Roman Polanski film about Jackie Stewart.
One of my favourites from years ago is American Graffiti. Naff film but loads of great classic Yank stuff.

I'll try and think of a few more.

edit, fizzwheel beat me to it, sorry.

Trying to watch the football here but Days Of Thunder sounds good even if the film's dodgy.
