Default ecu restriction - what bhp?

Has anyone who has had their bikes restricted via the ecu swap ever had it rolling roaded?
What bhp do they make, is it smack on 33bhp or is it less?

yes, one of the two

All i can say again is its worth it so hurry up and get on the road!!
how come you want to know? isn't going to be a big difference if its 33bhp at crank or back wheel ..
0-60 times are 7sec's
tops out around 105mph

I want to know because I am still unsure what to get!
I know what the answer will be on here as it is an sv forum!
But, I need to know for sure before I even approach the missus!

I can get a year old cbr250 with less than a thousand miles for £2.5k or I can get a 4-5 year old sv with around 10k miles for the same!
I know I can derestrict the sv in just under 2 years, BUT it will then be a 6-7 years old sv with 15k on the clock, not worth much and I will probably want something quicker then!
decisions decisions.......

go for the sv, mine is restricted but is still lots of fun as acceleration isnt really affected much, plus can still corner obviously

Didn't they stop making the CBR250 in the mid 90s?

Personally I'd go for the SV. You'll lose more devaluation on a newer bike.

started remaking the cbr250 in 2011,
I think the devaluation has took place in the 1st year! so not really that, that bothers me.

This is driving me mad, and will no doubt get worse when I have the cash in my pocket!

Ahhhh.
That's not a CBR250... it's a CB250 with a skirt on

Not a bad engine to be honest but if you try an SV after one of those you will not want it back. Excellent economical commuter bike but I wouldn't fancy one for long distance either.

Depends what you want to do.

The proper CBR250 was a (half) pint sized IL4, 16V screamer. 20,000 rpm or something daft and a right laugh.

my step brother has the cb250 and its a nice good little bike but completely gutless compared to sv, plus sv are quite good on long distance

But its a nice skirt

its more of a baby vfr than a cbr I suppose, but it was ticking all the boxes for me until the sv got mentioned to me!
Each have got their pros and cons and it is fairly evenly balanced! Just edging towards the sv now hence the original question, but will a potentially 7 year old bike (in 2 years ish when my restriction is up) be reliable or will it be a money pit!

unfortunately outside of my licence requirements and also I doubt it would get me to work and back every day! lol
