Speed Triple non starter.

Speed Triple query

Ride home, all ok.
Park up and drop off bag, then head back out to bike to go to doc for antibiotice (bout 5 mins elapse).

Disarm alarm, pop in key, turns over maybe once then a fact clicking froma relay (i hope) and dash goes blank, tuen off, go indors, have a chill pill, come out and....


Alarm off, key in, turn on - engine management light lights, nothing else in dash, no FI whine, headlamps on full and bright.

Pop out headlamp fuses - dash comes to life, all normal lamps on.

Press starter and get a rapid click click of a relay, kinda 'Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr'
dash goes blank, all lights off but headlight bright and steady, if i flick the kill switch to off, all the lamps and dash does blank again.

Duff battery? or something more sinister (currently meterless)

PS - Im mechanically inept...

Sounds like the typical behaviour of a Triumph triple with a low battery.

I second that. Check the battery and the connections.

Cheers, will pop out for an optimate today, it's wired for one

Hmmm.... ok new battery in and runs fine, lets hope the old one died of natural causes.... (oh and it's 1/3 off the halfords tools again, 170 piece set was too tempting to pass up)
