Default Blue tooth GPS recommendation

Well my last one had seen better days, the battery had swollen breaking the casing and I was in the market for a new one.

So on ebay found these Holox 54 GPS

I have been using it for a couple of weeks now, still on its first charge. The battery save mechanisms are very well thought of. If it looses its bluetooth connection it goes into a first stage shutdown whereby it no longer looks for a GPS, eventually it then shuts down the blue tooth as well. But a vibration sensor wakes it back up. So you no longer have to turn it back on.

It syncs very quickly as well.

The only down is that the charger comes with a mini usb connection hard wired to the adaptor and if you want to cigarette socket power it etc. you need to buy a £2 usb car power adaptor and a new usb lead

Any new reviews on these.
After getting lost on my way home and the Other half going balistic (you could be an a ditch etc etc)
I think it might be conducive to a calmer home life to be able to awnser a call.

Not sure if that device would help you. It was simply a bluetooth GPS receiver that worked very well with the pda I used at the time to give tomtom satnav functionality. 4 years ago.

These days I have the GPS on my phone.

I cannot help with BT receivers... I don't use them.

You could try satellite or mobile based tracking if the other half is inclined to worry. She can then just look at your location online.
