Default K8 Pointy fuel leak.

Evening all,
Dragged out the bike for a morning blast to work, all togged up and ready to go, started it up and it dumped about a pint of fuel on the floor. Panicking i switched off quick (change back into uniform far from happy) and tryed to look. Fuel dripping from under the tank all over the engine and filling up the lower fairing. Lifted the tank the following day, removed air filter but cant get under the airbox, am i missing something stupid.. Started up again but no fuel leak??? how can i have such a big leak one day but nothing the next?

Cheers
Pete

Default Re: 08 pointy fuel leak

Union on fuel pipe become unseated and managed to clip itself back into position would be my guess.

Get the airbox off, pressurise it up and wiggle all the unions and see if you can recreate the leak.

A mate with a fire extinguisher nearby may be a sensible precaution.
