Hi all,
im sure his has been done about a 1000 times but i need to know. I have a sk4 and should have the airbox washers and throttle stop fitted. Throttle stop is defo on there ![]() but i had the top of the airbox off yesterday and couldnt see any washers can anyone tell me where they should be i looked in the bottom of the box and could see the top of the throttle bodies (i think) so i turned on battery lights and what i was looking at moved so i assume they are the auto choke. If they are then where are the washers. If they havent been fitted i will be well peeeeeed of as i got charged £175 for supply and fit of the kit when i bought the bike from a dealer in southend that has been in the town for years. If anyone has a piccy on them fitted to there bike that would be great as im thick... Many thanks for any help. |

The washers are on the other side of the throttle bodies - between them and the intake rubber on the cylinder head.

jewkc hi mate would i see them from the top of the box with the air filter out or does the hole box have to be out to see them.
Mine if an alpha kit so i would have thought they would be in the same place. |

You can see them with the air filter removed. will be quite obvious if they are in there.

As said above they don't go under the airbox. They go between the TB and engine it's self.

Thanks guys i have found them.
I was confused as the fitting paper work i was given with the cert shows that they should be fitted in the underside of the air box. Is fitting them under the TB a better place to fit them ?? I must admit im tempted to remove them and let the engine breath properly as it is restricted on the throttle any way. |
