It looks rather too overcomplicated to get the job done, the fairly simple Thrust SSC (bolt two jet engines on a streamline body generating massive downforce) had reliability problems at the salt flats.

Have been following the Bloodhound Diary entries for a while. Wonderful example of project planning and pushing the boundaries of engineering. Fingers crossed it works!
