I set off to Yorkshire on Saturday from the south of France. The distance is virtually 1000 miles split fairly evenly between 2 days, day 1 a 500 mile motorway blast to Evreux for a gig then day 2, 200 miles to a ferry at 11:30 am then 300 miles up through England.
Bike is an 02 SV650S, recent oil change, 20k miles ish. I have passport, tickets, money, tools cable ties and duct tape... but I'm sure I must have forgotten something. Anyone who knows what it is please let me know, or if you can think of anything else handy and small (getting tight on space already...) I should take... I'll be doing the return journey 10 days later, assuming my **** has recovered by then. Tally ho! |

Passport to Yorkshire! And an umbrella!
Insurance docs? Enjoy your trip. Les Nouillers to Calais was a challenge for me in one hit, but it was torrential rain...hope you are blessed with sunshine!

I've ridden more here than i the UK by a long shot so I think the difficulty would be riding on the correct side in England.. Hasn't been a problem before though! Got torch, no high vis or breakdown.... EHIC present.

True. Considering the recent weather this is a very good suggestion.
