Default BYPass Alarm Help Please

Hi guys n gals

I have a 2000 sv 650 curvy with a Meta 347 T V2 alarm. After the snow had settled on the bike and began melting I assume some water shorted the alarm as now if I try and de activate the alarm, nothing happens. If I turn the key all the lights on the bike display come on but the bike refuses to start. I think I need to bypass the alarm but havent the faintest idea how to do so. I need the bike for work urgently. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Obviously it isnt easy to do, otherwise the alarm would be pretty useless. Do you know if the alarm is also an ignition immobiliser?

Have you checked the kill switch?
If the alarm wasn't working then surely when you turn the ignition on it would go off?

no! once youve disconnected one alarm there all fairly simple to take off,the biggest job may be getting to the wires, after taking my alarm off my bandit i can tell you there is nothing to it,
find the alarm, normally under seat take any alarm connectors off, follow the wires and cut or disconect at any junction(live wire feed, indicators
,linkwire, red flashing light, etc) with the wiring harness, and there may well be a few wires you take off that have to be linked back to gether(link wire)this normally breaks the connection to the coils so the engine cant be started but may still turn over,no 2 alarms are the same mind you,but if you no where the link wire is you could start a alarmed bike in seconds even with the alarm sounding

I removed almost the exact same one from my pointy SV, I found this video very helpful:

Once you've removed enough insulation from around the wiring loom, working out what needs to be spliced back together is pretty easy. Most of the wires are to make the indicators flash so you can simply cut them off.
Then there was about 3 connections to sort out. Starter relay wire, simply join it back together.
Then I had to re-join a link to join two orange wires back together.
A Haynes manual made much easier with the wiring diagrams it includes.
