Default Note for newbies

Snow, ice and motorbikes do not mix
Black ice looks like a wet road and you can never tell what is under the lightest dusting of snow -------- you have been warned.

Just watched a bloke wash out slowing down for a roundabout.

i say over winter get the bike inside all polished and thourghly clean and under a soft cover and take it outside on the nice evenings to let it idle and then stick it back in to the warmth. thats what mine is doing right now and will be until the tempretures warm up not worth riskin it

The SV is being stored away safely for the winter, however I won't be letting it idle now and then. The next time the SV starts up is when I'm about to ride it.

The CB is for the winter though and already has some battle scars from this winter. But that's what it's for.

Usually have a really light trailie for winter. <150cc. An old 50cc mx bike is ideal. I think the weight is the issue in icy conditions worsened by tyres. I have rain tyres on the ccm and at 135kg, its still a pig in the ice, the race tune doesn't help either.
