Loosen, then remove the bolts, or am I missing something from your question?

Dont know if this video helps you as i have a curvy but afaik you remove the shovel and replace that with a hamicad or the like HTH

The video Geodude posted should help you.
When I replaced mine with the R&G tail tidy, I must say - it wasn't difficult but it wasn't easy either. Especially because I didn't want to damage or scratch tail fairings :O |
