Default has something changed with insurance?

I just did a quote on my bike insurance out of curiosity and each offer is actually more than what I'm paying right now even tho I am assuming by then to have 1 year no claims!!! What is going on???????

The EU has decided that men and woman should pay the same and no longer get the cheaper rates base on gender.

Yup, same thing happened to me in September even though my no-claims increased to 3 years. Insurance went up by more than £150 !

So what I did was I rang my insurer (Swinton) and asked about how much renewing the policy would cost. After they gave me the price I told them I would shop around and ring back.

I "shopped around" for a few days then when they rang me back, I said that I found a really cheap quote (Cheaper than my previous year) from a compare website. They asked for the quote reference number but I said I didn't have it.

The salesman put me on hold while he spoke to his manager and when he came back, he beat the fake quote I gave them! (Y)

You'd think by increasing female premiums the hikes would level out across the industry but all my premiums have gone up more than what I paid the year previous

This is daylight robbery!!! I know you can get some kind of boxes to track your safety in cars and work out insurance this way. Can you get that for bikes?
