Default Air box screws (Pointy)

Previous ****... i mean owner of my SV has managed to rip all but 2 of the thread holes in the air box... im going to be doing a major service hopefully next week and want to sort this out.

Dont particularly want to use nuts/bolts but will do if nothing else will work.
Any ideas anyone?!

Have used something similar to this to put strong threads in plastic
using a hot soldering iron to push into place.
Dont know if there is enough meat in the airbox lower plastic or not though.

This happened to my K3 airbox also. I was doing normal maintenance and went to unscrew the screws and three of them took the entire thread out with the screw so not sure it was the fault of the previous owner.
Just the plastic is ****.

I like the look of those metal inserts so might give that a go if it starts to bother me.

Two screws should hold it on fine surely?
If, not, a bit of gaffer tape??

Seems like a wasted effort make new thread imo.

It aint structural, remove cover and shove epoxy in holes and fit screw and let epoxy set.

It has bugger all shear strength. so grip screw heads with mole grips and undo. refit cover and tighten screws.
