Default Recommend me a chain tool.

Tried a search of above, im swithering buying one & once ive done the job sell it on. the costs to buy one would be the same as getting a garage to do it? or would it be less?

i bought one of these recently to fit .

Learn to maintain your bike, take it apart, rebuild the engine & more (using better bolts ), drop it & fix it again!
K3 Job c.v: Engine:remove/split/rebuild/refit. Replace:Gearbox,Fuel pump,Gaskets. Piston clean,rings. Overhaul:Throttle body,Injectors,Brakes,Forks. Remove/refit:Exhaust,Radiator,Oil cooler,Throttle,Air filter,Tank. Replace: Oil,Coolant,grease,brake hoses & bleed.

That tool won't rivet hollow pin links - the most common type of replacement split chain.

I borrowed one of the £30 "did style" ones and it worked well. However, I wouldnt try and drive an old link straight out. I ground the head flush first, some people have bent the pin not grinding.

It formed the rivet really well and I was pleased with the result.
