I've seen a set of straight renthals on a faired curvy,

Fitting riser ones is more tricky, but the problem I've found is always the brake fluid reservoir bashing the fairing, which is an MOT issue

i would imagine the fairing would have to be trimmed to accept the wider bars, just had to do it on my TL.

Here ya go, Curvy with Renthal Mediums fitted. As you will see the screen has been cut and a temporary mod to mount the reservoir:

To get around the reservoir problem, just get a naked combined master cylinder and reservoir

thats the plan, so its just the screen that needs cutting, not the fairing ?

You might get away with not having to cut the screen as well with the naked M/C.

Yes, just need to cut the screen but I found the bars too far back and too high so ended up taking the fairing off and doing the full conversion to naked and preferred Renthal Ultra lows.
The main reason for doing these mods was to help with Motogymkhana so I wanted the ability to adjust the position. As it turns out I prefer in-line 4s!!! So I now have a Fazer and the SV is back to standard and ready to sell.
