Uprated coils for Pointy?
Hi,
Are there any ignition coil upgrades available for a 2005 injection model, specifically for racing? My rear coil has stopped working (primary winding's resistance dropped) and so i don't want to replace it with a standard item for it to happen again at a track. Is this a common thing to happen? Occasional on the pointy yes.
But it is occasional, if you're worried I'd just keep a spare one. People have fitted "uprated" coil on plug jobbies but they're not particularly better and can still fail and are a bit experimental. And I'm not 100% if they're minitwin legal or not.

cool, i got one temporary off a carby for on the dyno. works fine, just cant use both the original mounting points. I'll get some spares.
