Default Battery wrongly connected - now no electrics.

Hey all, so my new battery arrived today, I was so excited to finally get out on the bike, so as I hurried to install it, I made a terrible mistake...

I connected it up wrong, positive on negative and negative on positive. When the connections were made, sparks came off the terminals; and then I realized what I had done.

I then connected the battery up correctly, tried the ignition and nothing happened. I've installed my old battery (which had a tiny bit of juice - enough to display the neutral light) and nothing happened.

I've checked the fuses under the seat, they all seem okay.

Any help at all is most appreciated; I feel like such an idiot - . -

try checking the main fuse (green 30 amp) on the starter relay, there's a spare one on the otherside of the connections.

I checked the main fuse and it was blown; changed it and she fired right up. I'm so glad it wasn't an expensive mistake.
Thanks for your help lads!

Nice one dont forget to replace your spare fuse, you never know when you'll need one again.

Easily done - I did the same thing installing a new battery in the dark.
