Heyy
So after the last thread i made, i went ahead and bought the eastern beaver dual h4 relay kit. It came the other day after successfully sneaking its way through customs. Im very impressed with the kit. Id heard i wouldnt be able to make something myself this good quality, and i can see now that its right, I wouldnt. All the components seem very well made and so does the wiring up to them. So after a little while of fitting tonight (mainly routing the wires through the bike) i finally got round to fitting the fuse and seeing if it works. I took some pictures to compare. I did set the camera to manual so all the settings are the same, however like penis, i forgot to make not of the aperture etc etc and cant find them on the photo details. Anyway, heres the before: http://s907.photobucket.com/user/ota...tml?sort=3&o=1 And heres after: http://s907.photobucket.com/user/ota...tml?sort=3&o=0 Only quick photos and i couldnt really go anywhere as we still have snow and lots of ice. And yes im aware the garage is a right old tip at the moment haha. It needs a clear out Hope this helps anyone whos wondering about the differences Cheers Oli |

I had one of these ages ago, if I'm honest didn't see any advantage apart from converting single plug to twin plug , I went HID in the end

Haha. I went the other way. Because the glare and high beam on HID's were to be fair, crap.
Havent had change to properly test this yet, looks considerably brighter though |

Ooh right. Also, pointy was it? Better reflectors than a curvy apparently

Dont blame you. Id love to have a higher quality headlight on the sv, but being a faired, non of them will work.
If i had a naked id definitely have twin round headlights on it |

Just had the bike running on the drive for 15 mins or so. The headlight lens seems to get quite hot. I know its stopped and theres no wind chill to cool it down.
Anyone actually experienced one melting? Iv heard 100w bulbs have been used with out a problem? I wouldnt go that far, just wanting abit of reassurance that the 55w philips blue visions will be okay with the relay kit? I never really touched it before, so not sure how hot it was getting without the relay kit... Any opinions appreciated. Cheers |
