Default After market exhaust, with or without CAT?

Hi all,

Finally getting a new exhaust for my k1200r to replace the bazooka it has now, I can get a full titanium lazer exhaust made for BMW only with a cat or a Remus powercone or a lazer hotcam end can with no cat, which would produce the best results? as the cat is in the end can on the BMW and not the down pipes.

Does the CAT impact on performance/sound?

cats restrict gas flow to a small extent.
the reduction in weight and flexibility to go open loop with no cat is worth it.

Well It depends on how restrictive the stock system is.
No good having a free flowing can when the pipe to it is retricting flow.
Ask whos going to re map it what experances from diffrent systems they have seen on bikes.
The dyno is the thing thats going to show what realy works.
Lots of afftermarket slip ons can Loose you power and with a baffle in substantial ammounts.
