Default A break with tradition?

I'm currently looking for bike number two. Because, as we all know, the formula for the amount of bikes you need is the amount of bikes you have plus one.

So do I go for the 750 VFR or break with the tradition of this forum and go for a street triple?

What's bike #1?
My theory is, you should have bikes that are different in character and purpose.

I've had lots of fun on Speed Triples (never owned one) and don't know of bad things about them... What's wrong with the Street Triple?

Haha, there is nothing wrong with them at all, I have one!

I was at a bike meet last night and there were at least half a dozen there, all very pretty, the only thing that stood out for me was the oldest one with the chrome lights, but otherwise I just walked passed.....

I know they ride well as I've ridden both versions myself; and there are good reasons it's a popular bike, but you'll never be the only one there at a meet.

You could try a Daytona 675...

I was looking into Street Triples some time ago and came to conclusion that there is absolutely no point in swapping SV650 for ST. Too similar (shape and size wise), and it is not even a V-twin (sorry, I have a thing for V-twins). Besides, there are so many of them about, I stopped noticing them at bike meets.

...but I would love to get Kawasaki W800 or Honda CB1100...as a second bike, of course!
