Default Stolen recovered Curvy non runner.

Hi guys trying to find out why my sv 2000 isnt sparking...... ive measured the voltage at the coils and I get 12.7 volts between either wire and the frame? Seems strange that both wires are positive.
Anyone know what maybe wrong.... ive replace the pick up coil and stator but dont have a peak volt meter to test but resistance is within range....

Any suggestions or please please please...

A bit more info, its both coils that arent sparking. A the bike was stolen recovered so starting to think maybe the electrics are fried....
Been reading another wont start post and seems it was the orange and red immobiliser wires. Anyone know a good way to test this?

The coil positive is always live, it's the negative that gets switched to allow a spark.

Have you checked continuity of these wires, back to the ECU I think?

Stolen recovered - were the ignition switch wires messed with?

There is a simple but very effective anti theft device built into the ignition switch, the ECU is earthed via a resistor in the switch, if that wire is straight to earth it won't go.

The ignition barrel was missing the the wires had all been cut and twisted together. Ive replace the ignition. So should be fine right? Would the ecu be damaged by the attempted hotwire?
