Default Crash bungs for 2000 sv650s with full aftermarket fairing?

Hi all,

Had a look around the forum for other threads regarding frame crash protection for my year of sv650s with a full fairing. But can't find much.

Anyone know or bought the correct ones for my model?
I'm thinking about just buying a set that look like they will fit and modifying them.

Cheers in advance for any help

You can get R&G ones for the full fairing I believe. I didn't have the fairing lowers on mine though, but the crash bungs are good.

You might struggle because the fairing lowers were never official for curvy's I believe?

Miotosliders also do very good sliders, which were IMO better than the original R&Gs. The newer R&G are no cut fit, but I have not heard how they perform in the event you need them.

Motosliders to fit a curvy... http://www.motosliders.com/MS-1.html

Curvy lowers were an official OEM accessory, but made by a firm for Suzuki

Yep, Motosliders are really good, the lowers will need a little sanding to make them fit.

If you don't want to do that, then R&G's are the next best thing, no cutting or sanding required.

I've got R&G's on my fully faired 2002 SV, piece of cake to fit, so long as the bolts come undone. Some folk have had problems, I didn't.

Nice one, cheers.
I've had a look at both those companies online, these bungs are expensive.
I did find some on eBay lastnight

No Cut Frame Sliders Crash Protectors for Suzuki SV650 SV1000S 1999-2009 DL1000

Any thoughts?
Much more in my price range right now, as I've just bought the bike.

Better than nothing, but the reason we've said R&G or Motosliders, is that Orger's have tried and tested them to destruction.

Cheap ones may fail in the event of a crash and will not save you an expensive bill, whereas Motosliders & R&G might.

Ya pays ya money, ya take your choices

Mine is only half faired but I've binned it 3 times on Motosliders, and OH YEAH they work.

I've been looking at R&G bungs for a while now. They look & sound like the business. I don't want to get them fitted by the garage because:
a). Garages cost too much per hour on top of the price of the bungs.
b). The bungs are supposed to be really easy to fit - even for novices.
c). I believe that everyone should be trying some simple mechanics to learn about their bike.

However, after looking at my fully faired K2, & looking at various pictures, I'm not convinced that they'll fit without some sort of fairing mod.
The image shown by Maviczap, shows a plate between the engine/frame bolts. Does the R&G kit come with these plates & spacers? I have seen on R&G's web site that the bungs are bike specific - does that mean that all the extra parts come with the kit for that bike?
