Question LED lights on an SV?

I was looking on the evil bay at all the different 12V LED lamps you can buy.
I started thinking how my 2000 SY model would look good with some.
Question is what ones ,where to fit them and how to wire them into the bike?

Anybody else fitted LED lamps? If so where did you fit them and how did you wire them in?

depends much on how and where you install them, I'm not a fan of the engine illumination kits or the ground effect kits, I do have additional daylight running lights with indicator repeaters in them as well as an LED illuminated tax disk and high level stop light I fitted to my top box, you can tap into virtually any 12v feed as LED's are a very small draw, although do bear in mind they are unidirectional for power and not omnidirectional as a bulb would be.

Cheers Mark.

Hmm I think as a sort of running light/extra light at night sort of thing.
Perhaps somthing I can have on a switch? My bike has the forum power outlet thingy so perhaps the lights can be wired to that?
I see that some can be bought on a sticky strip and also small rectangle lights.

The sticky strips would not be good for the bike, IMO.

Post a link to the little rectangle ones?

why would the sticky strip be harmful Chris, I've used them before and they are the type that I'm currently using as my high level brake light, I've not had any issue

I'm not saying harmful, sure they would work fine... just the ones I've got the sticky isn't that sticky to keep it in place on a soggy bike long term.

I've got some in the back of the van as loading/drinking lights, the ones with like a 500mm strip with 48 lamps on.

I couldn't say how well they'd hold up as mine are under the clear perspex on the topbox; which obviously keeps them in place, the one's I used as indicator repeaters on the Superduke where the clear rubber enclosed ones and I attached those with hot glue, worked fine.

One question,
Some of the lights I have seen on eveil bay just have a red and black wire.
Where do I wire this into? Do I need to cut into the bikes loom?
Or can I wire it via a switch to my forum electric gizmo under my seat?

Default LED lights on an SV?

I have the eBay strips on my street's radiator. They are held on with stixall glue, and have not come off in 2 months. Very sturdy and the glue is waterproof. The negative is on the battery, and he positive is spliced into the tail light so it comes on with the ignition.
