Hi Folks,
as some of you may know my other half rides a Kawasaki ZRX1100, which is a lovely bike if a bit of a brute. Anyway, we recently put it in for the MOT and it got an advisory on the rear shocks. One of them is leaking and needs to be repaired or replaced. So we went and checked out a new part and discovered to our horror that each shock is around £500! Do you know of anyone who can rebuild a pair of shocks? Our budget cannot stretch to new shocks at that price, but we hope that rebuilding will be cheaper. Cheers, Jayne and Carol ![]() |

I've had very positive experiences with both k-tech and kais. Both these companies have rebuilt rear shocks for bikes like the ZX6R for me or a close friend. It's worth phoning them up to talk about whether it's worth it or not.
Alternatively companies like Hagon produce suspension that's not as expensive as OE equipment and may be worth using as a frame of reference. Jambo

Hi Jayne, it's been a few years, but I used PDQ in Taplow for several shock rebuilds, they were really helpful (even lent me a standard rear shock at one point whilst they re-built mine), not sure wht they are like these days though, but probably worth a look.
Cheers Mark
