Does anyone happen to know the part numbers for the front sprocket nut and washer for a 2001 curvy? The washer on mine looks a bit chewed up around the edges so would like to replace it. I imagine Robinsons Foundry would stock them, but can't seem to find the part numbers on any of the online microfiches.

Its on the transmission page.
The washer is item #45 part number 09167-25019 The nut is item #44 part number 09159-20004 they also list a cheaper pattern replacement. |

Its about £13 IIRC from when I replaced mine last year.
You'll need a big breaker and torque wrench to loosen it and retighten it

Yeah, around £14 for the washer and nut from Robinsons. Guess the nut is pretty pricey as it has to hold such a high torque.

Its 145nm in the book, almost impossible without the gearbox slipping.
The clip washer seems to be under a big load too, the old one was only fit for the bin

Removal by impact gun if its done up properly is how I usually do it as the last one I tried without a gun refused to move and that was with the bike in gear, a mate stood on the rear brake a spanner through the rear wheel and a 2' breaker bar. All that little lot did was bend the spanner. Impact gun had it off with only my hand resting on the rear wheel to stop it spinning.
Out of interest why do you need a new nut? |

To be honest, I think it's just the washer that needs replacing.
Was lubing the chain and had the front sprocket cover off for a quick visual inspection and noticed part of the outside edge of the washer is a bit chewed up. Not sure how it got like that as not been touched since I've owned the bike. Probably perfectly safe judging by how tight the nut must be, just me being a perfectionist I guess ![]() |

Chewed up or just hit a bit with a hammer? They are tab washers and at least one tab should be bent over the nut to help prevent it coming loose. They are sometimes reused when changing sprockets though personally I replace them. Obviously to bend them they might need a little persuading. If you post a picture of it I'm sure someone can advise if a replacement is needed...
