Been riding the SV650S for almost 2 years and fancy upgrading to a GSXR600 K9 in August. If you've ridden both, in terms of comfort which one do you find the most comfortable? Reason being I'd like to do some touring around the country and France every now and then.
Obviously I'm going to test ride the GSXR if I can (can 21 y/o's test ride bikes?) before buying, but just looking for opinions first. Last edited by Fifteen15; 16-06-13 at 07:30 PM. |

I rode a GSXR600 a couple of years back. Thought the riding position was a little cramped for me. May be different for you though. Also I felt I had to thrash it to get anywhere but I guess IL4s make their power differently to a twin.

cant help on the riding front, but in terms of the test ride, as long as you have the licence for it (unrestricted) then a dealer should not have a problem with you test riding a bike due to your age. if they seem uncertain for what ever reason, ask them if they have someone that can go out with you on another bike to show you a decent route and let you concentrate on the bike itself etc
If you dont go to a dealer to test ride, make sure your own insurance policy covers you for riding other bikes (will only be 3rd party so be prepared to pony up the asking price as a deposit). good luck

Get a 750, the 600 is pointless in comparison

Comfort is a very objective thing. It also has a lot to do with size.I've been miles on the RSVR no issues .but I'm 5'7 so its a big bike in comparison .
The Gixer isn't so big.A 6 is valid as its quick enough.cheaper to insure and tax. Have a go on CBR 600 & R6. If it's too cramped don't over look the fazer or hornet as they do semi faired more sit up than the sports bike s. A blade can tour and scratch. But 21 might be insurance hell.
