Default Deflated

Picked up a philips screw in my front tyre. Of course, the tyre pressure is staying up with offending item insitu. Typical!
Am told, nothing can be done except replacement.

I remember years ago there was a product called finilec which suppossedly was a temp repair.

Any offers for alternative suggestions or do I have to seek out my already overused credit card for a new boot.

Thanks to all

You don't say what bike, where you are, what tyre, or where the screw is in the tyre so the follow's a bit of a guess:

Tubeless tyres can be repaired. However there are some manufacturers that are happy with this and some that are less so. Most garages will not do it as they become liable in the event that the repair fails, so choose not to take the risk.

If the puncture is in the centre section of the tyre, has gone in quite straight, and no significant damage to the carcass has occurred then it can be safe to repair. This repair should be carried out by removing the tyre and applying a patch from the inside. ANY repair that can be applied while the tyre is still mounted to the wheel is temporary, and not intended to be used for extended distances or high speeds. Some people have ridden rather long distances like this, or done rather high speeds, but that's not the intended use of the repair.

Have a look for "Sticky string" repairs to fix it with and ride to a shop that will offer to repair it if it is safe to do so. They may inspect it and decide it is unsafe, the longer you ride with the foreign object in the tyre, the greater the risk of damage that makes a repair unsafe.
