Default Nigella

When you hear that old men like to "choke" it to Nigella Lawson. It is a surprise that one tried to actually choke her! Maybe his hearing aid cut out during a Russel Howard sketch and he got the wrong idea?

Seems a bit strange that he would grab her neck during a 'playful tiff'...

I find it very strange that Satchi has supposedly accepted a caution for assault if it was all playful.

For mere mortals cautions are handed out as get out of here the easy route. without people realising the implication. Rich men like Satchi can afford the lawyers to make the police/CPS work.

Probably nothing for him, but in the real world it will show up on CRB check so can affect employability for certain types of job, etc.

It is admission of guilt which goes on your criminal record. Without the leg work and expense and risk of court.

On the other hand I've heard of it being offered when they don't have enough evidence for a conviction anyway. But that was 6 or 7 years ago now.

TO get a caution you have to admit the offence (and normally not had any convictions in the past). If you don't admit it then you go to court.
