Hi Guys
Whilst lubing the chain today on the paddock stand i noticed that when i rotate the back wheel i can feel a slight notch type feeling in the rear wheel and at the same time to can see the chain ping/click like somebody's flicked it. You can feel it when you push the bike but not when you ride it? it does it every few mm of wheel rear travel, i cant see any tight spots in the chain and its well lubed. The only thing i can notice is slight wear on the front sprocket It concerns me to ride it now ive noticed it incase the chain snapps or something messy like that! |

Not unusual. The sprockets are worn and the teeth are no longer shaped perfectly correctly. Put the bike on a paddock stand turn the wheel backwards, thus putting the tension in top run of the chain - as it is when the engine sprocket is driving the bike along - noise reduced? If yes then it's not worn out yet.
