to add to my previous disc lock mishap
can you bend the forks? only asking as it is leaking on same side now was literally 2mph and barely moved but took speedo drive out replaced that but on tuesday there was oil from the dust cover dripping down. guessing the heat (hopefully) has just sped up an existing weak seal and is a coincidence. have seals and oil ready to do

Yup to remove any grime making it unseal. I was skeptical but ive tried it on one minor leak and one big leak and it works. Hm, not sure. You rolled the bike off the stand then it hit the lock? Well, i doubt the lock or disc would have been bent much, so the fork probably took the brunt, but im no expect.

I think hitting a pothole puts more force on the forks than a disc lock would just rolling it forward. For that reason, I doubt it is related.

Agree with Tomor. The shocks take a hell of a beating when you're hitting ruts at 100mph. Don't think a disc lock could possibly bend it at really low speed. Would it not have hit the brake calliper first anyway?
Edit: @Tomor - How much did hitting a bambi at 50 bend your forks?

yeah did just that fallout, hit calliper and broke speedo. speed was walking and went inches. no noises just no movement
hopefully coincidence but is leaking and pooling on same side.
