1 owner, me!
Why a SV650s? Great first bike if you have just passed your test. I am including the 33bhp restricted ECU in this package to allow instant bike restriction. I will show you how to install upon inspection. It's also a great sports tourer. Very snappy in corners and a joy to ride. Why My SV650s?! It has the following great additions: >Remus Revolution titanium exhaust (baffle included) >Armstrong front brake discs >New chain and sprocket set >Carbon fiber tail tidy kit >Rear seat cowl >Full new tires >8 months tax >8 Months MOT >Service History >Rear grab handle >Original Exhaust pipe included >Original tail kit >Original Grab Handel Specs: Total Mileage = 17432 hp= 75 (book value, mine is higher due to exhaust) new Tire mileage = 400 miles (only just run in) new chain mileage = 400 miles ( only just run in) Why on earth would I sell this?! It's time for me to move on, looking for a K8 GSXR750. I've had this bike from new, straight after I passed my test. It was run in extra well due to two years under restriction.Mileage is low and it is breaking my heart to sell. 20130811_151534.jpg 20130811_151545.jpg 20130811_151604.jpg 20130811_151851.jpg 20130811_151659.jpg Last edited by Somerset Dave; 07-09-13 at 12:59 PM. |

That, being a very good point. Deserves an answer.

Higher BHP due to the chain?!

The ratio is the same as standard. The chain is tighter so the losses from the old are reduced. The ride as a result is smoother and more efficient.

In the logic, if you start off with 75 bhp and the knackerded chain takes it under that, then adding a fresh chain will take it back to 75, not beyond that surely? Just curious..

Its not been dynod but there is a noticeably better feel from the bike. It accelerates more smoothly than when it was standard. Gear change is also less clunky.

Either way, standard losses are reduced, so you're getting more bang for your buck

So how tight have you made this chain? Did you measure the slack?
