What's the benefit from blue? That's what's fitted to mine, but I can't see how a blue coating on the bulb can do anything but reduce the light transmitted.

Blue is a more unnatrual light, so i think it is easier to differentiate from the orange/yellow hue of streetlights and most other traffic...so hopefully youll be more noticeable. The one i got was blue glass iirc, not a blue coating. That coupled with the reflective parts of a headlight mean any loss is negligible imo

Yup, They are better than originals. If you want "blue" bulbs you can get bright blue sidelight bulbs from halfords
