Dizzy blonde territory-----good campsite next door with a pub at the end of the field. If you go have the steak pie in the pub,to be recommended. The Heritage centre cafe is okay for breakfast.
This is the Lancaster bomber that they are hoping to have flying in the near future. I have used the campsite[£5] facilities are okay for small groups but I think they would be a bit stretched for big parties |

Yeah, I'm going.
Next doors campsite is booked for another group and friends through myself. Numbers are limited for us. There is another large group sharing facilities that weekend also. Due to limits, I wasn't opening the invite of camping to the org. However, the Charity day itself is open to all, and a damn fine day it is too! There are other places you could camp in the area via UKBeg I would presume.

150+ MILES from Chelmsford depending on your route.Avoiding main routes it takes me 3-4 hours stopping for a cuppa.
Last time I did it on the back roads there and back on one plus a bit tank of fuel, taking it easy and enjoying the countryside Last edited by Dicky Ticker; 19-01-13 at 11:10 AM. |
