Default Oil Warning, FI flashing alternately with temp

So the problems continue with my bucket of an SV.

Since being in storage for over a year it's had...

New oil & filter, new coolant, new spark plugs, caps, leads and coils, new battery. I've cleaned out the air filter (k&n), emptied the fuel tank and filled it with premium unleaded and FI cleaner.

I managed to get it started, ran it to a garage to try and get to the bottom of the rough running. I made the mistake of not having enough coolant in it, so the engine got awfy hot...

He changed the coils etc but then it cut out and wouldn't start. Turned out the injector fuse had blown. This happened a couple of times so I have ripped out all the wiring for my air horns, going back to stock. It hasn't done it since. I also ripped out the scottoiler and plugged the end as it was still running rough.

Now though it starts with a bit of a struggle, the revs go up and down to the point where it nearly cuts out then picks up again, sounds really laboured when it's doing it. There is a fair bit of smoke coming out the (now) stock exhaust.

And to top it off now the oil warning light stays on and the FI symbol flashing alternately with the temperature. The code when I put it in dealer mode is c00. I've checked the oil, if anything it is a bit too high... Oil warning light tends to mean low oil pressure right? Could it be the oil filter / sump plug aren't tight enough.

Somebody help me! lol

my bike does exactly this if i don't connect the breather/vacuum hoses on the air box. or forget to plug in one of the many sensor connectors also on the air box.

what year is the bike? can i also as if its the silver one that was in Alford garage lately?

Yeah, that's the one mate. It's an SK3. Gordon was pulling his hair out with it, he just didn't have enough time to get stuck in about it.

Never thought about the bits n bobs under the tank. Will check all of the above. Most likely tomorrow as I am knee deep in filler and paint. DIY sucks lol

there are a few other things that cause this.

TPS needs set or replaced
ECU and other plugs need contact greased
Terminal Crank, no cure

i can come and take a look but it will have to be on a sunday but not for a few weeks. if i dont get it running there will be no charge, if i do it wont be much. i also have a full diagnostics device for the SV.

Ok mate, I will check all the connections. Is bog standard silicone grease ok for the job? I see there is a step by step for TPS adjustment, I will just follow that. Failing that, I will give you a shout. When you say a few weeks, when do you reckon?

Thanks very much!
