Of late I have been doing some cycling and I wonder if anybody has used cycling leggings (the ones that fit tight with the padding) and a cycling jacket ( the thin type that's wind proof)
I find that even if its windy or cold wearing both of the above items I don't feel the wind or cold. So am thinking these would make good base layers for motorcycle winter riding. |

Thing is the base layers you can get from the likes of ALDI or Mountain Warehouse are significantly cheaper than dedicated cycle wear.
And a 3 pair pack of normal cheap leggings from primark work surprisingly well.

My cycle wear has been bought from Aldi/Lidl and JD sports (who seem to have an eternal sale) So was cheap.
I have tried the cheap leggins routs under gortex/winter bike trousers , also thermal top and leggings and still get cold legs. I have tried thermal socks and even two pairs of socks but still get cold feet. I need somthing that works lol hence thinking cycle leggings/top might work. |

When it gets cold heated insoles and vest is a good but not cheap way to go.
Unfortunately if you don't use the muscles you're not making internal heat and millions of years of evolution makes your core the number one heat priority
