Default Is criminality hereditory? Family skeletons!

It would appear the great great great grandfather Wilky was a bit naughty as research in the press has revealed his appearances before the bench.

Seems a little unfair as the there was no evidence of a game in progress. Just possession of a pack of cards.

It would appear that "Deputy Constable Woodall" must have had it in for my great great great grandfather as he again gives evidence against him

So great great great granddad, was trying to get people out and still got charged. the good constable should have assisted an inn keeper who kept his house in good order not nicked him.

Still, some coppers of the day did appear to like my ancestor.

I like the idea of a policeman sitting in a pub with a woman on his knee whilst on duty. But why was it my ancestor that was again before the bench?

so come on you orgers. What family skeletons are rattling in your cupboards?

Family history is a cool thing. I know nothing about mine. The only cool stuff I can report is domestic abuse and one of my cousins naming his baby boy Adolf. What a ledge.

I can't report any skeletons per se, but my grandmother and grandfather were the last people on the last boat out of Holland when the Nazi's invaded. Less then 24 hours after they fled their home the gestapo were knocking on their door looking for my grandfather. He was a geologist who specialised in finding oil (he was very good at it by all accounts too).

My German grandmother survived being shot at by Russian planes, when her mother received a telegram from her father to get out of the house and take the horse and cart with whatever they could take with them. They hid in some woods from the planes, and crossed a frozen river in a bid to flee their town.

My dad and my uncle back in the 60s whilst very very drunk, ' borrowed ' a Rolls Royce which they had to drive through a show room window in order to take it out. They then got bored and tried to park it in a church door Family myth refuses to be confirmed for obvious reasons.

Dad has also shared the stage in the darts semi finals in Morecambe with such names as Eric Bristow. I can remember that from when I was a child. He was and still is an exceptional darts player.

Pegs a dark horse......best leave those skeletons hiding in the closet

My great, great, great, great..........................(you get the idea)...grandfather is mentioned in the Black Book of Paisley (circa 1387), I believe for stealing sheep.
