Does anyone know the law on these, I'm about to make a budget purchase but something in the back of my mind says they need to be CE marked and the majority of eBay specials won't be.
Does anyone know fo shizzle? Cheers,

all the MOT inspector is looking for is them working and flashing at the correct rate. they would have to be a complete knob to fail for not having CE.

There's varying advice on the net. I found one mot garages website that didn't specify it , but they're just a garage not VOSA so not really gospel ![]()

I've Oxford Nano LED indicators on mine & never had an issue around their legality for MOT. The previous cheapo indicators with normal bulbs didn't have CE marks I'm sure & what MOT tester is going to go around looking for the CE mark?

As far as I was aware there are not MOT issues with using LED indicators, a lot of new bikes have them these days anyway....the only thing to ensure is that they are a minimum distance apart from left to right I think, so placing them where your old lights were would be no bother.

As an aside note.
Mot testers can't make up failure items and you can assess the mot manual which is exactly the same as the tester uses. So if in doubt go check it out
