Very fortunate. Could've been much worse.
There are loads of crashes on that road. They really should remember that it's a public road and not a racetrack. |

'Typical American' sportbike rider.
On the east coast we have Deals Gap, same scenero. Go there on any Saturday and you will see at least one bike crash. Not counting the ones who have already crashed, there will be a half a dozen or more of those as well.

I've seen loads of crashes filmed on that corner, it's pretty slippery by all accounts.
