Crash damaged Candy Napoleon Blue 2006 SV650S – Cat C, £750. Also parts for sale. (Stockport)

MOT’d on 10/01/2014 with mileage of 19,154. Wrote off less than 2 weeks later, mileagenot available on bike as clocks broken.

Purchased in 2009 from another forum user and it’s been used for over 4years commuting all year round from Stockport to Manchester city centre (approx11 miles each way), never had any problems with reliability.

I’ve had 2 low speed accidents with the bike and both times it has beenwritten off for mainly cosmetic reasons...

• Cat D write-off in Oct 2010 – locked front, slid on right hand side. Some scrapes, broken top fairing, broken brake pedal, right crash bung slightly worn.
• Cat C write-off on 23 Jan 2014 – locked front, slid on right hand side. Top fairing hit tow ball of van in front breaking top fairing, fairing frame, clocks, mirrors, right crash bung a bit more worn than last time, left lower fairing upper bracket snapped off.

Engineer at bike inspection company (4th Dimension) said itlooks like it’s purely cosmetic damage but they didn’t put it on a jig as thecosmetic damage alone was enough to write it off. I’m not a mechanic but having removed thebroken parts it all looks to be straight.

Selling as I purchased from the insurance company to get back on theroad and less than a week later my employer announced the car park will nolonger be available for use, so I’m going to use the car instead and park 10minutes away in an unpleasant area for free. Considered keeping and converting into a track bike but I’m not going toget to do enough to make it worthwhile.

Last serviced in May 2013; newchain & sprockets, new spark plugs, air filter, oil & filter. Partial service history prior to me takingownership but it has been serviced privately since then.

• Pillion seat cowl & infill (candy napoleon blue). SOLD
• R&G crash bungs (3 bungs included, 1 from each crash & the left one that never got damaged)
• R&G cotton reels SOLD
• Haynes manual (used)
• Goodridge front race braided hoses – only installed July 2013. old rubber hoses put back on bike and will need filling/bleeding)
• Also Chewys mirror extenders

Sorry, perhaps my listing wasn't clear; I'm not looking to sell the bike for parts, there are just some parts for sale listed underneath the bike details.

In regards to the horn just buy a car one. My bike has a 2nd hand Ford Focus horn that cost me £5, is much louder than the original & doesn't stop working as soon as we get warm weather. I mounted it to the side of the radiator.
