Rather underwhelming but at least you guys got to see something.
I thought it would get darker here but do the clouds diffuse the light to reduce the impact?

It got quite dark up here and got bl00dy cold. Suppose the further north you are the better it would be. I so hope Murdo and Iain up in Skye were out getting us decent photos...

Now the Gas engineer is away after fixing my boiler, I think I'll go out for a bimble.

I had a reasonable view, the clouds were very high and thin, then cleared for a short while just after the mid-point. Hope you like them, there have been no colour changes made, these are just as they came off the camera.

Nice shots for those lucky enough to see anything at all. We have clear blue skies here now but at the time a thick cloud layer meant it got slightly gloomier and that was it. If you didn't know there was a partial eclipse up there somewhere you would not have realised anything was happening

A friend sent me this which he took using a hydrogen-alpha filter (whatever one of those is)
