Hello Folks,
I'm a new member from Canada.
Just purchased a used 2005 SV650s with full fairing.
Love the bike, wanted this bike for a few years now and its finally come true.
Hope to learn some tips and tricks for proper care and maintenance.

Not looking to mod this bike up or do anything too fancy, perhaps a fender eliminator kit and a slip on exhaust (maybe).

Anyways, thanks for your time, here's a few cellphone pics.

Welcome to the forum.

Just in case you weren't aware it looks like you have a k4 model rather than the 2005 as it has a silver frame rather than the black frame. Might make a difference when buying parts.

Enjoy your bike

Yellow does go fast, almost as fast as red I hear.

It's has a black frame, vehicle registration says its a 2005, black frame all the way! LOL

This is my first bike, and my first task is clean it up, clean the chain and lube it. Previous owner only took it to the mechanic for basic maintenance.
Going to purchase a set of rear stands so I can do some work on it myself.

Thanks everyone.
Cleaning up chain and rear sprocket. Is it necessary to clean the front sprocket too?

Change bar ends since right one is damaged, as well as right frame sliders.

Going to do some searching on here for good info.

Hi and welcome!

Nice bike, I like it in yellow. A new end can is a must, for the sound as well as the looks
